When the two bottom teams meet, the script usually reads chaos. At Ekana, it reads grind.
Six innings have been played here this season, and nobody has touched 200. The first-innings average sits at just 155 on a black-soil pitch that grips and slows. That single fact reframes everything about a match the bookmakers are pricing for fireworks.
LSG: a bowling unit dragging dead-weight batters
The Super Giants sit ninth, two wins from seven, on a four-match losing streak with zero home wins this season. Yet their bowling has been outstanding.

But the cavalry has arrived. Cricbuzz reports Matheesha Pathirana — KKR's INR 18 crore buy — is fit, available, and was nailing yorkers at full pace in nets. His Powerplay economy since 2025 is 7.21, and he has dismissed Rishabh Pant three times in four T20s.
Varun Chakravarthy rediscovered rhythm last game with 3 for 14 and Player of the Match honours. He owns Aiden Markram (six dismissals in 13 innings) and Pant averages just 10.3 against him at a strike rate of 103.
The last three head-to-heads averaged near 200 per innings — but those were Eden Gardens shootouts, not Lucknow grinders.

Prediction: fade the total
The 346.5 line ignores what Ekana keeps telling us. The pitch profile points to a 310–320 contest between two ordinary batting groups facing two solid bowling attacks in their best phase. LSG's Powerplay strength meets KKR's Powerplay weakness — that alone caps the upside on the chase.
Getting to 347 combined here is a steeper ask than the 1.748 quote implies.
